# 55 - Caduceus

KADUCEUS originally two plaited snakes as a device of a healer, god of ancient Mesopotamia (2600 BC) who cured all diseases. Incorporated by Greek symbolism – god Hermes and his magic wand (representing contact between gods and people). Snakes plaited around the magic wand are signs of fire and water, alternate chaos and order. Healing sign consist of four-times crossed snakes balance of four elements assuring good consistence and health to living creatures. Wings are sign of air that free from vice and addictions.
